What is composite bonding?

A thin composite resin is attached to the tooth surface and shaped, and it is often used to fill gaps or to cover over minor chips to the teeth. The colour of the composite is matched to the colour of your teeth so that it appears to be a natural part of your tooth.

Composite bonding is a non-invasive procedure, fast and effective procedure. The tooth surface is simply roughened to help the resin bond to the tooth, none of your tooth structure is removed.

Composite Bonding can often be carried out over one visit. It is a fast and effective treatment to fix minor cosmetic issues. The composite is set using a curing light through the appointment therefore you are able to eat / drink as normal after your appointment.

Composite Bonding is non-invasive procedure, the tooth surface only has to be roughened to help the resin to bond to the tooth. This means the tooth structure is not damaged, alternatives like crowns and veneers would mean permanently removing the tooth structure.
